We’re looking for male volunteers who are experiencing hair loss at the crown of the head to be part of an upcoming study.

Study Information

We are looking for volunteers for an upcoming study on hair restoration. This is open to male volunteers who are experiencing hair loss at the crown of the head.

What will the trial consist of?

This is a home use study with an LED device. During treatments we will perform a few non-invasive assessments such as a medical assessment, skin tone readings, measurements of the crown of the head, and photography.

Open to:

  • Male volunteers aged 25-45
  • Experiencing pattern baldness around the crown

49 week study based in Swansea, Wales

Can I participate if I have no hair or hair loss on other areas of the scalp?

This study is only looking for males experiencing hair loss on the crown of the head.

How long will the trial last?

The trial will last a maximum of 49 weeks and consists of home-use treatments and scheduled clinic visits.

Do I need to live in Swansea to take part?

No, you do not need to live In Swansea. However, participants must be able to attend all required appointments at the CyDen clinic for the full duration of the study. 

Can I take part if I'm already using a hair-loss treatment?

This will depend on the treatment you are currently using and the specific requirements of the study. All medications will need to be disclosed before we decide on eligibility before the study commences.

Can I withdraw from the trial?

Yes. Taking part in clinical research is voluntary, and participants can discuss withdraw with the clinical trial team at any stage. Further information about this will be provided during the consent process.

How do I know if I'm eligible?

Initial eligibility will be assessed based on the information provided in your application. If you appear to meet the initial requirements, a member of the Clinical team will contact you to discuss the next steps and arrange any necessary screening. 

Is the treatment safe?

Participant safety is our priority. The trial will be conducted In accordance with the relevant clinical research requirements, and participants will be monitored throughout the study. Any potential risks and benefits will be explained before you decide whether to take part.
