Dr. Marc Clement
Professor Peter Bjerring
Professor Umesh Khot
Robin Tuluie, PhD
Professor Kelvin Donne

Dr. Marc Clement is a pioneering figure in the field of optical physics and laser technology. With a PhD in optical physics, he initially worked with laser fusion, developing a passion for the transformative potential of lasers beyond the laboratory setting. With his strong background in medical lasers, Marc’s help developing a new laser system for the NHS (National Health Service, UK) treating birthmarks led to over a million children receiving life-changing treatments worldwide. He also played a key role in developing pioneering technology for hair removal, addressing clinical needs such as those related to PCOS, and helping women all over the world regain their confidence back. Currently, Marc serves as co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer at CyDen, where he remains deeply involved in developing new and advanced technology-driven beauty solutions, specialising in advanced light-based skin and body care technology.

Highly respected in his field, Professor Peter Bjerring is a board certified specialist in dermatology and venereology in Denmark, Norway and The Netherlands. He has published more than 250 scientific papers on dermatology. He currently holds position as the President of the World Hair Council Advisory Board. Additionally he is a fellow of EADV, AAD and ASLMS.

Professor Umesh Khot is a consultant surgeon with the National Health Service in UK. He has published several papers in the British Medical Journal on tumour texture mapping using emerging AI technology and had played a crucial role in mapping the human microbiome and microbial analysis for evaluation treatment plans.

A theoretical physicist by background, Robin discovered a foundational new effect, by simulation, in the cosmic background radiation – his initial simulation work subsequently confirmed by the Nobel-prize winning COBE satellite measurement. Robin left academia for the fastest development cycle on earth, Formula One. He was Head of R&D at Renault (Alpine) F1, winning back-to-back double World Championships. In 2011 he joined the Mercedes F1 team as Chief Scientist and Head of R&D and helped build one of the most successful F1 teams of all time. After two more world titles with Mercedes, Robin joined Bentley Motors as Vehicle Technology Director, before founding PhysicsX in 2019, a company dedicated to machine learning to accelerate simulation speeds.

Currently a Professional Fellow at University of Wales Trinity Saint David School of Applied Computing, Kelvin leads Cyden in developing bespoke computational modelling for light tissue interaction. With over 25 years of academia experience, he has tutored over 30 PhD students. Having collaborated with various commercial organisations across different industries, he brings to the table a rich experience in application of computation modelling into product development.
