CyDen Ltd is seeking to employ a Training Officer to develop and maintain a professional, dedicated training solution for the company and its employees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that training is effective and adheres to relevant procedures whilst providing total coverage of all appropriate training needs including:

  • Identify appropriate learning resources, both internal and external, to meet the needs of all staff within the business.
  • Prepare and communicate learning plans with aims, objectives, and tools to support trainees with understanding potential outcomes for individuals (to ensure a ROI).
  • Ensure all training records and the Department Skills Matrix accurately reflect the training and competence of staff and are compliant to all relevant procedures.
  • Develop appropriate processes/KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training and ROI for the business.
  • Review operator performance to identify areas in need of improvement.
  • Support the operations team with the introduction of new Operators.
  • Support Shift Leaders in providing objectives for all Operators/Area Owners.
  • Support HR Manager in ensuring probation and annual reviews are undertaken as required.
  • Regular training and inspection reviews.
  • rovide feedback to cross functional teams on operator performance – quality, process, health and safety etc.
  • Take part in production huddles, 5s and GEMBA and continuous improvement activities etc.
  • Work with engineering dept. on all New Product Introductions and Continuous Improvements.

You should have a background of training within a regulated manufacturing environment with experience and knowledge of effective training techniques and a good understanding of GMP.  You should have a HNC/D or equivalent in a technical or business related subject and be competent in all MS packages, including PowerPoint and Excel.  A degree in a technical or business related discipline together with a recognised training qualification would be beneficial although consideration with be given to strong relevant experience as well.  You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage staff in training activity.  Previous experience of innovatively identifying appropriate training solutions will be beneficial.

The role will be based at our factory in Llansamlet but you may be required to work at our other site in Swansea on occasion, therefore, a driving licence and access to own vehicle for work is essential.

You must be willing to be flexible in terms of both the range of tasks required to support the business and in response to occasional need to work additional or flexible hours to meet the needs of the business.
