Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for a new and exciting career opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly organised individual to manage our Supply Chain department which includes Planning, Purchasing, Internal Sales and Logistics and to provide support to the Company’s commercial strategy and financial goals with responsibility for updating and analysing inventory and perform analysis of supply chain data.

The successful candidate will be required to provide support in the following areas:

  • Managing the Purchasing team to make sure components arrive on time and at the correct location even when a deadline is tight, and forecasts are subject to change.
  • Managing the Planning and Internal Sales teams to make sure order achievement to tight forecast requirements and on time delivery.
  • Ensuring the MRP system is set up correctly in terms of MOQ’s, lead times and buffer stock.
  • Overseeing the Purchasing and Planning requirements for our China factory.
  • Liaising with all internal teams to enable the smooth running of the business requirements.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Management of long-term purchase commitments in line with forecasts and adjust accordingly.
  • Tracking inventory usage and adjust systems in line with actual performance.
  • Ensuring the import of goods is in accordance with HMRC rules.
  • Reviewing the Purchasing and Planning functions to ensure they are operating as documented in the Quality Management System
  • Monitoring and reviewing supplier performance to ensure delivery is in line with corporate expectations.
  • Maintaining a well-organised collection of contracts and Quality documents for easy reference when needed.
  • Attending Production and R&D meetings to ensure the Purchasing and Planning functions are aware of all relevant activity.

You must have 5 years’ experience of Supply Chain Management with strong planning skills and project management experience, excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy.  You should be a strategic thinker and planner with the ability to analyse and evaluate systems and in-depth knowledge of various IT systems including MS Office and SAP.  You will have excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills with the ability to solve complex problems.  In-depth understanding of risk management within a supply chain function is essential.

You will hold a degree level qualification in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or relevant senior level experience and ideally will hold a HNC/D or equivalent in a business related discipline and / or a CIPS qualification.  Experience of working in a consumer electronics supply chain function and knowledge of international shipping requirements would be desirable.
