Working in the Development Department, the Development Test Technician / Engineer will organise, build and test new and modified products to the test specifications and methods defined by the development engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the assembly of prototype devices
- Performing component and device testing in line with the test specifications and methods defined by the development engineers
- Providing detailed test reports to feedback to the development team
- Developing and validating new test methods.
You should have a degree or HNC/D in an engineering discipline, ideally in mechanical or electronic engineering
You should have a minimum of 3 years industrial experience in a suitable engineering company or university / HE establishment with experience of technical report writing and excellent IT skills. Good organisational and time management skills are essential, along with exceptional attention to detail. You must be a team player, able to organise your own workload and manage others to deliver projects. You will need to be able to work within a high growth, often pressurised environment and meet strict deadlines.
As Test Technician / Engineer, Ideally you will have experience within an engineering test department and of testing electronic or medical products. Experience of working within a quality controlled development system eg ISO9001 will also be beneficial.
