We have achieved significant growth over the past 3 years and are about to open a local manufacturing facility. We are now looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to support our growth and new activity.

The Role

Reporting to the Planning & Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will provide support to the Company’s supply chain activity through managing all activity in relation to: ordering, transport and receipt of purchased items; processing sales orders and delivery of finished goods.

Key responsibilities:

Liaising with the Company’s manufacturing partner, undertaking all required administration and ensuring compliance to relevant regulations, key responsibilities will include:


  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Raising purchase orders on SAGE and confirming acknowledgements received
  • Progress-chasing deliveries
  • Managing transport of materials, where required
    • including managing international shipments from suppliers
  • Ensuring correct booking-in of stock
  • Managing proofs of delivery and reconciling to purchase orders


  • Receiving and acknowledging customer orders
  • Placing orders on manufacturing partner in line with the agreed production plan
  • Processing of Sales Orders
  • Arranging transport
    • including managing international shipments to customers
  • Tracking movement of stock to meet customer requirements
  • Processing Dispatch Notes and Sales Invoices
  • Ensuring all required dispatch and transport documentation is provided


  • Processing stock movements and scrap notes
  • Arranging company travel and accommodation



  • Working in the purchasing and logistics function of a manufacturing organisation, processing purchasing and/or sales orders.


  • Working in a consumer electronics supply chain function
  • Knowledge of international shipping requirements

Qualifications and Training:


  • General secondary or vocational qualifications (e.g. GCSEs, BTEC Certificate..) including Maths and English


  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a business-related discipline
