The secret of iPulse technology is in the way it harnesses the power of natural light, rather than using artificial light for instance, that of a laser.
With natural light, which is all around us, the elements of the light bounce around in no order, like people randomly walking around a shopping mall. With artificial light, the molecules are organised, like an army marching in step.
The challenge has been to harness the energy of natural light in a safe way.
The CyDen team has managed this by capturing and organising these random light “elements”, stripping away the damaging UV rays, and delivering short bursts of natural light in a controlled way.
The light that is produced by CyDen products is not laser but “white light”, which is safer because it is simply natural light under control. And by slightly altering the way these elements are delivered through short bursts, this natural light can be used in a variety of ways, from treating hair removal to skin rejuvenation.
How is This Done?
In most other IPL products, the electrical current surges through the lamp like a wave and the colour of light varies during this pulse. At the peak of the wave, the light energy is too high so that treatments are carried out at unnecessarily high energy levels that can be uncomfortable on the skin, and should only safely be used by a trained therapist. Also because of the shape of the wave, the total energy that can be transferred is limited.
iPulse IPL technology solves this problem with unique circuitry and patented digital control, which create a constant pattern of electrical current to the lamp—in a ‘square pulse’ without those harmful peaks of energy described above. This well controlled energy level is continuously generated, so the most effective treatments are produced at far lower peak energy levels with no harmful energy needing to be filtered out.
